"Electrical design is primarily about load calculations — once the load is correctly calculated, the rest follows from the regulations."
Load calculations determine installed capacity requirements, but electrical design also involves fault current analysis, discrimination between protection devices, voltage drop at end-of-circuit, harmonic distortion from non-linear loads, and earthing system design. A correctly calculated load figure does not constrain any of these, and getting them wrong creates fire and shock risk.
