Designing network architecture for enterprise environments

Network Engineers design and manage LANs, WANs, and cloud network infrastructure. They configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; troubleshoot connectivity issues; and ensure network performance, security, and availability.

Most network performance failures are caused by routing errors, misconfigured QoS, suboptimal path selection, or security policy interactions — none of which more bandwidth addresses. A well-designed network with constrained bandwidth outperforms a poorly designed one with excess capacity."
