Lightspeed Retail is a cloud-based point-of-sale and retail-management platform built for established shops with large or complex inventories — think bike shops, homeware stores, and multi-site retailers. Beyond ringing up sales, it handles purchase ordering, supplier management, detailed inventory across locations, and analytics, making it heavier and more capable than the mobile-first readers aimed at sole traders. It absorbed the popular Vend POS in 2021.
