What it is
About Vend
Vend provided cloud-based point-of-sale software for independent and multi-location retailers, covering sales processing, inventory management, customer loyalty and reporting, and was one of the more prominent POS platforms before being acquired by Lightspeed in 2021 and folded into Lightspeed Retail. Some legacy Vend customers still reference the Vend name and interface as it phases into the combined Lightspeed product, so it remains relevant to retail staff trained on it. Its core value proposition — simple, cloud-based POS with solid inventory and reporting — is now delivered under the Lightspeed Retail brand.
